Three factions clash for control of Velheim
For generations, the Terran Commonwealth ruled the stars through the power of the Star Communication Network, a web of satellite relays capable of faster-than-light communication, the binding to over one hundred star systems in the Commonwealth's control.
But now, the SCN has gone dark. No orders. No reinforcements. No explanation.
As silence grips the galaxy, a rebellion flares through the periphery. And on the fractured world of Velheim, the fight for control has already begun.
“Order Above All.”
From the cradle of Earth, the Terran Commonwealth reigns over nearly a hundred star systems—its banners planted on fifty-three colonized planets and moons. It is the oldest, most expansive empire humanity has ever known… and it is unyielding.
For four centuries, the Commonwealth has endured not through diplomacy, but through dominance—quelling uprisings, purging rogue factions, and extinguishing the flames of rebellion wherever they rise. Now, Velheim burns.
In the silence of the Star Communication Network and with no orders from high command, those still loyal to the
Commonwealth have one mission:
Hold the planet
“From the ashes, we rise.”
For centuries, the Commonwealth ruled the outer systems with indifference—extracting resources, denying representation, and crushing every uprising before it could take root. One by one, revolutions flared… and were extinguished. But fire is never truly gone. Not if embers remain.
Now, with the Star Communication Network silent and Imperial fleets stranded in the dark, those embers have been fanned to life. The Pact of the Ember—once scattered rebels, broken colonies, and exiled leaders—have seized the moment. In coordinated strikes, they’ve taken the neighboring worlds from the Commonwealth. Now they set their sights on Velheim, the jewel of the periphery.
This is no longer rebellion.
It is a revolution
“Born of Velheim. Bound to None.”
We are not the soldiers of the Commonwealth, nor the kindling of the Ember Pact. The Velthari are the sons and daughters of Velheim itself. Third and fourth generation natives who have tilled its soil, breathed its storms, and buried their family beneath its sky.
What began as a loose coalition of survivors, civic leaders, and rogue defense forces has become a movement. One that refuses to trade one foreign ruler for another. While loyalists still cling to Imperial flags, and others rally behind the fire of the Pact, the Velthari seek a different future: a sovereign Velheim, free to govern itself and forge diplomatic ties on its own terms.
To them, this isn’t just a war for control of the planet.
It’s a war for identity.
The Third Divide marks the final fracture in the Terran Commonwealth's grip of the galaxy
Velheim now plays a pivotal role to the future of the galaxy. A world rich in Veltrium, the rare and valuable resource that powers humanity’s expansion through the stars.
The faction that claims this planet won't just win the war,
they will define humanity's next chapter
